READMontana's Summer Programs
RMT offers 9-week summer programs in both reading and writing, designed to build skills in a focused, supportive setting. Classes meet twice a week for one hour, providing consistent practice without overwhelming students.
Small class sizes of no more than 6 students ensure personalized attention and meaningful progress.
Classes start the week of June 22 and run through August 21. Classes take place at the READMontana office at 292 W. Haley Springs Rd., Suite 2.
Our programs are designed to run throughout the summer with the understanding that families travel and students attend camps or other activities. While consistent attendance is encouraged, missing an occasional session will not significantly impact a student’s progress.
All classes require a $100 registration and materials fee. Tuition is $675 per student. Scholarship support is available with an application.
Rising Readers: A Structured Literacy Program
RMT’s reading program for rising 2nd and 3rd graders uses the Voyager Sopris LINKS curriculum to support developing readers with explicit, systematic instruction in foundational literacy skills. This research-based approach targets decoding, spelling, vocabulary, and comprehension, while keeping learning engaging and supportive.
Students build essential skills such as:
- Developing phonological awareness to support decoding and spelling
- Applying learned sound patterns and word parts to read and spell words;
- Recognizing high-frequency words through repeated practice;
- Strengthening vocabulary and comprehension through explicit teaching and supported practice.
