Individualized Reading Instruction
READMontana has been working with students in the Gallatin Valley for over ten years. We know that dyslexia affects more than a student's ability to read. Students with dyslexia need effective instruction, but they also need encouragement, understanding, and opportunities to experience success. That's why we've built a program that combines evidence-based intervention with a supportive community where students can grow into confident, capable readers.
Here's what that looks like in practice:
- We believe in the inherent potential of each student to succeed.
- We design each student's curriculum according to their individual needs.
- We use evidence-based interventions* that rely on the most up-to-date research in the science of reading and learning.
- Our compassionate instructors receive intense, up-to-date training in dyslexia, Orton-Gillingham methodology, and structured literacy methods (MSL), as well as social-emotional support for students with learning disabilities.
- We prioritize a positive learning environment based on the belief that confidence builds competence.
- Lessons are engaging and appropriate for each student's unique learning profile.
- Sessions are 50-minutes long, two times per week, throughout the year. Typical intervention for a dyslexic student lasts 24-36 months. (Visit our FAQ section for information on pricing.)
